  • No wake – motorboats must travel at “slow, no wake speed” from 5 PM to 10 AM; this is the slowest speed that the motorboat can travel and maintain steering control
  • Direction of travel – all motorboats traveling above slow, no wake speed must travel in a counter-clockwise direction
  • Restricted no wake area – the eastern end of Gilbert Lake is designated as a no wake area at ALL times, as marked by no wake buoys – see the lightly cross-hatched area on the sign below
  • Distance requirement – boats may not operate faster than slow, no wake speed within 100 feet of the shoreline, any dock, raft, pier, or the restricted area of the lake
  • Patrols – Gilbert Lake is patrolled by the Waushara County Sheriff,
